I love Bogos! When Doterra brings out the bogos, you never know what you’ll see, but you know it’s going to be good. This week has an especially good Bogo for those who want to make my blends like Thrive and Shine. So let’s talk about the Bogos and what they’re good for.
Osmanthus Touch and Magnolia Touch: Floral Fun for Thriving or Shining!
If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you’ve seen me post about my blends like Thrive and Shine. They’ve helped me emotionally by promoting positive and calming emotions. But Osmanthus isn’t always available from Doterra and I recommend Doterra’s oils are high quality. So I recommend that you jump on this deal while you can!
According to the book Essential Emotions, Osmanthus is the oil of gentleness. It has a fruity smell and sweetens up any blend.
Magnolia is another fruity floral oil. Like Osmanthus, it adds sweetness to any blend it’s added to. Emotionally, it’s the oil of compassion. It’s very high in linalool which has calming properties. I like to use it at bedtime.
Melisa and Blue Tansy
These are also oils I use in blends like Thrive and Shine. Blue
Blue Tansy is found in my Thrive blend. It’s soothing to skin comforting to the body. It can be used on blemishes. It’s called Blue Tansy because it is blue in color. I recommend being careful to make sure you don’t stain anything with the oil. According to Essential Emotions, it’s the oil of inspired action. I added it to Thrive because taking action can help us thrive.
Melisa is an oil that’s both uplifting and calming. It’s also known as the oil of light in Essential Emotions. Melisa is also known as lemon balm, so if you’re wondering what it smells like, it’s a heavier citrus scent.’ This oil can also be used internally. I use it by putting a drop under my tongue to lift my mood. It’s very strong and gives me a tingling sensation.
Citrus Bloom and Air-X
Both of these have very uplifting citrus oils. They’re great for springtime.
Citrus Bloom has orange, grapefruit, lavender, roman chamomile and magnolia. It’s known as our springtime blend because of its citrus cheeriness and bouquet of floral oils. I like to diffuse it or use it diluted topically as a perfume. It’s known as the oil of new beginnings. I love the smell for its invigorating and joyful scent.
Air-x is the only oil in the bogos that can be used internally. It’s great for literally and figuratively clearing the air. It contains litsea, grapefruit, tangerine frankincense and cardamom. I love adding it to Breathe and Ongard when dealing with seasonal or environmental threats. It’s a great addition to glass of water.
Tightening Serum and sunscreen moisturizer
The Tightening Serum is used to promote firmer, healthier looking skin. It contains Hawaiiansandalwood, frankincense, and Myrhh essential oils.
The moisturizer that contains sun screen uses minerals that block sun. It also contains essential oil oils of Frankincense, Helichrysum, Magnolia, Ylang Ylang, and Lemongrass which make using it a pleasure to apply.
Frankincense Touch and Helichrysum Touch
These oils are incredibly soothing to the skin and the rest of the body. I use the oils in my blends to comfort my nerves. They’re also helpful for healing problems in the skin such as blemishes and even injuries to the skin. Helichrysum is known as liquid stitches.
Frankincense is very soothing to the skin and also warming to areas where you might have occasional soreness or head tension. It’s also very grounding which means it’s wonderful to use during meditation or yoga.
