Calming, cuddly Ghbogo) bedtime blend

Some nights you just need something cuddly to snuggle with. tonight has been one of those nights for me. I won’t go into all of the details, but my sleep schedule is totally off and I just need something calming and cuddly. Since I can’t sleep, I decided to do what I could to calm myself down and deal with some challenges. I decided to make a blend which just so happens to use products in this weeks bogo sale. I’m wearing a heated neck wrap and cuddling with a Warmy as well as using a very small stuffed animal as a fidget. While this doesn’t replace cuddling with my former guide dog Julio, these things do help! I added the following blend to the fidget and Warmy. It’s soothing and grounding and a wonderful combo of oils. I’m not positive on the exact number of drops, so here’s my best guess.

Nickie lying in bed with a big smile on her face. She is wearing a colorful fleece sweatshirt with a geometric pattern in shades of blue, pink, and white. She has a red sleep mask pushed up onto her forehead. Next to her on the bed is a large, light yellow lab who is lying down with his eyes closed. Nickie has her arm around the dog and is gently petting him. They both look very cozy and happy. The bed has white sheets and a pink blanket, and there is a dark brown headboard in the background.

  • 1 drop Roman Chamomile (optional). If you order Roman Chamomile for the next 2 days, you’ll get Vanilla free. Roman Chamomile can ppromote a sense of calm. We’ve all heard of Chamomile tea
  • 1 drop Wild Orange. You wouldn’t think orange would be a good choice at bedtime, but it can be. Citrus oils like Wild Orange and others can be great because the body sort of takes what it needs from them. If it needs energy, it takes that, but when it needs to calm down, it takes that aspect from Wild Orange. Wild Orange can also be uplifting emotionally when you’re feeling down about something.

I hope you’ll try this blend. It smells yummy to be honest. I’m not just saying that because I made it. To be honest, it’s not a perfectly original blend. It’s my version of a blend a friend did (she didn’t use Balance because she wanted to have something for internal use). I do like the Balance because I’ve always liked Balance and Wild Orange together.

The blend feels calming, grounding and uplifting. I think it would be a great choice with kids. As I mentioned, I already apply it to a stuffed animal. Orange and Balance are a great blend for parents to use with kids because it smells good and kid friendly with the orange, but the Balance’s grounding abilities are a great for helping promote a grounded atmosphere.

If you try this blend, let me know what you think! As always, I’d love to help you get started on your own essential oil journey!
